Skin Tightening

Nonsurgical skin tightening procedures are cosmetic treatments to change the look of your face and your stomach. These procedures are far less invasive than surgical options. Weight Loss may not be enough. It could leave you with saggy skin. We use Accent Ultra to get your skin tighter and firmer.

The Procedure

Oil is applied to the areas to be treated to allow the machine to glide comfortably over the skin. The machine is set according to the area on the face or body being treated and depending on what the patient can tolerate. The Accent RE is moved quickly over the skin so as not to cause discomfort to the patient. As this is happening, the Radio-Frequency waves are delivering energy deep into the skin to cause changes within the fat cell. A patient is treated with two modes, Bi-polar for a tightening effect, and Uni-polar to attack the fat cells. Post-treatment, the patient receives a lymphatic drainage massage on the treated area, and Nimue body contouring gel is applied.

How does the treatment feel?

Accent RF is generally a comfortable sensation. The patient will feel the area getting very warm sometimes to the point where they feel too hot. Accent will not burn the skin, it creates a thermal reaction. The more heat the patient can tolerate, the better the results will be. Skin temperature is monitored throughout the treatment so that the best results can be achieved. The body is not heated to more than 43 degrees and the face 41 degrees. Post-treatment, the skin can be red but this is a good indication that oxygen and fresh blood are present in the area leading to a better result.

How many sessions do you need?

It depends on the size of the area and the desired results will ultimately determine the number of sessions required – between 3 and 8 is normal.
